Ultra Fresh Beer Fest
What happens when you combine the freshest packaged beer available anywhere with hundreds of thirsty festgoers? You get one fresh to death beer fest.
In 2016, Chicago-based beer magazine The Hop Review concepted a unique event to champion freshness in craft beer. The outcome was ‘Ultra Fresh’, an intimate festival where all beer being poured had been packaged within five days of the event. For its fourth year, we teamed up with illustrator Jourdon Gullett to brand the gathering under the theme ‘fresh to death.’ The juxtaposition of a fresh, summery color palette and an endless supply of skeleton illustrations made for a fun application on everything from beer cans to felt pennants to large scale signage.

The sold-out fest took place in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, in the very complex that houses our studio. A sunny June Saturday played host to over 500 guests, all drinking the freshest beer available…anywhere.
