Boulevard Veterinary
The neighborhood vet clinic of yesteryear gets a bright, friendly makeover.
Boulevard Veterinary is a full-service animal hospital that first opened in Chicago's Logan Square. When Dr. Dylan Frederickson set out to establish his new venture, he was looking to build a brand that was inspired by the neighborhood and bucked the stodgy aesthetic of typical veterinary clinics. We created a visual identity system that reflected BLVD's friendly demeanor and could be adapted to mirror each subsequent neighborhood location without sacrificing the overall brand. The result was a new identity system built from the ground up and applied to everything from badge pins to signage.

Since we first collaborated with the Boulevard team on their Logan Square clinic, the practice has grown to three locations across Chicago, with plans to continue expanding. Each location has adapted its own unique identity, all of which fit within the main BLVD Vet aesthetic. And, in 2021, our illustrations for BLVD’s new Ravenswood clinic (by talented artist Steve Shanabruch) were among the Shortlist for Communication Arts Magazine.
