Studio Malt stands with Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante

July 25, 2026

Studio Malt joins 117 fellow businesses in a letter with The Conservation Alliance to federal agencies expressing “firm and unequivocal opposition” to the recent size reduction of two national monuments in Utah.

This week, Studio Malt joined a letter, signed by 118 businesses––including Patagonia, REI and Osprey––representing a united call from companies expressing our opposition to the boundary adjustments and support for the Tribes and communities reliant on them. This, in response to the current administration’s announced efforts to shrink the size of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante by about 90%, opening the land for private developers. We adamantly oppose the drastic reductions to these two Utah monuments.

These landscapes are vital to Tribal Nations, local communities, outdoor recreation, and the outdoor economy. And protecting public lands protects the businesses, jobs, and communities that depend on them.

Just last year, we joined The Conservation Alliance’s initiative, Brands for Public Lands, in an effort to help amplify business’ collective voice in protecting our much need natural spaces. We continue to believe America's public lands deserve lasting protection for future generations.

Studio Malt remains vocal and active in support of keeping these lands public and protected. In addition to our support with TCA, we are committed to continuing our partnership with 1% for the Planet & Alliance for the Great Lakes where our funds benefit their efforts to protect our wild places, waters and wildlife.
